The Online QS-Measuring systems QCross 100 to 160 are responsible for continuous product survey and quality optimisation of high-class foil- and boardmaterial in the production lines of international industry companies.

Measuring methods

According to the requirements the following sensor- and laser-combinations are instated:

• laser distance measuring
• laser parallel scanner
• capacitive / inductive

The sensor heads are totally enclosed and compressed-air purged, so that they are resistant against rough surrounding conditions like dust, vapours and high material temperatures.

Cross bars

For foils with a width up to 6 m there are suitable crossbeams available. Cross sections as well as longitudinal sections can be acquired. Automatic side control recognition. Traversing speeds up to 30 m/min with scanning rates up to 10KHz are realised.

Control and analysis

QCross has an intelligent control, based on an industrial PC-system with Windows-system software. The system can be used as autarchic system with its own analysing software (recipe data base, cross profiles, trends, statistics and reports) as well as simple measuring system, communicating by interfaces (standard: PROFIBUS-DP) with other systems.

Subject to model and operational field the control device can be delivered mounted in a PC-cabinet or panel system, always with keyboard and monitor, or as “Black-Box“ (without keyboard and monitor).
