Range of useContact free 2D-profile measuring for fast and reliable online-measurements. The application areas of the QScan 1002 are production lines of all kind of profiles, especially extruder lines for treads and side walls in the tire industry. The systemThe QScan 1002 consists of a robust measurement frame with integrated roller conveyor. By this construction the QScan 1002 can be integrated in the extruder line without any problems. The complete housing is hold under slight overpressure to avoid dust and vapour. The laser optics are additionally protected against dust and vapour by special blocking air nozzles. The sensor unit is driven pneumatically with high speed. The linkage with the line control is realised by a bus-system (standard: PROFIBUS-DP). Measuring principle
The measuring principle is based on laser distance measurement by difference method in connection with a digital path measurement. A precise 2D-image of the profile’s cross section is created by the measurement data of the lasers, the precision path measurement and the sizing piece mounted inside and the data of the specified profile points are determined. Additionally the total profile surface is monitored in view of damages (diecuts). The calibration and determination of the measuring material abilities is carried out by special calibration blocks, their dimensions comply with those of some profiles. Control and evaluationQScan 1002 is equipped with an own intelligent control system based upon an industrial PC-system with Windows operating system and an extensive software package for evaluation and analysis like recipe records, 2D-profile display, diecut-monitoring, trends, statistics and reports. The software function provides a monitoring of up to 4 parallel profiles simultaneously. The free definition of measuring points respectively characteristics and their relation among each other provides the determination of the total- and shoulder width as well as the control of the profile symmetry. The measuring results will be evaluated in an online statistic and displayed in a table and a graphical trend plot. For further processing the results are transmitted via integrated LAN interface in the data format of a QS-system to a customer own system, f.e. QS-STAT.
