Range of use

20 points which are able to save lives. For this reason Kurschat has developed the multiple point thickness measuring system QFix Multi. The innovative measuring system is measuring simultaneously with high precision exactly fixated points along the tear-off line of co-driver’s airbag. This guarantees a correct drop-out of the airbag if necessary.

QFix Multi has a versatile range of applications. Different materials can be measured with a variable number of measuring points.

Measuring principle

Measuring principle is an inductive distance measurement. The substructure is a carrier with integrated metal plate. The sensors are measuring directly the distance to the metal plate and by this the material thickness at the measuring points.

Measuring system

The measuring system itself is consisting of a plastic construction with handles. The sensors are integrated in the handles, are spring-suspended and thus always reaching their optimum measuring position.

2 sec. per measurement

The cockpit skin is pulled across the carrier and adjusted at the defaulted match edges for measurement. The measurement is fast and precise. Within only 2 seconds after putting on the measuring unit to the cockpit skin all relevant measurement data are at the user’s disposal.

Analysis and software

The operation- and analysing software allows a fast and clearly-presented appraisal of the measurements. Each single measuring point is marked by corresponding colour markers as o.k. or not o.k. For comfortable handling and organisation there are interfaces for barcode-scanner, personal identification system and database available.
