Range of use

QFix is operating in production lines with limitedly adjustable cross profile, e.g.

The contacting thickness measurement is made fast and reliable with a measurement speed up to 5 µm by the total measuring range.

Up to 10 roller-probes allow a contemporaneous and complete online-monitoring. Several different and comfortable roller probes are available. Depending on material hardness and kind they are used for trackless measurement of sensitive surfaces.
Due to the flexible construction the QFix can be adapted into the most different kinds of production systems.

The system

Immediate readiness After starting the QFix is immediately ready for measuring.
The zero point calibration happens directly on the integrated high precision measuring roller made of high-grade steel. This increases the operational safety.

The standard model of the QFix is equipped with 3 roller probes. The left and right roller probes with the integrated sensors are mounted on a manually (optional electronically) adjustable carriage and can be positioned at nearly any desired point of the material. The roller probe in the centre is firmly mounted and not adjustable.

All roller probes are equipped with a pneumatic lifting device for easy and comfortable thread of the material lines.

Measuring principle

The measuring principle is based on inductive distance measurement against a measuring roller. The inductive
distance sensors are placed within a precision roller body and are measuring the distance between roller body and surface through the material to be measured.

For calibration of the zero points the roller probes are lowered without any material on the measuring roller at the respective measuring positions and the measured values are recorded as reference data.

Control and Analysis

The QFix has its own intelligent control, based on an industrial computer system with Windows system software.
The QFix is either working as an autarchic system with own analysing software (recipe data bank, trends, statistics and reports) or as simple measuring system, which is communicating via interfaces (standard: PROFIBUS-DP) with other systems.

Due to model and range of use the control can be placed in a computer cabinet or desk, always with keyboard and monitor, or can be delivered as “Black-Box“ (without keyboard and monitor).
