LABOFLABOF Details Furnace for solids
LABOF DescriptionThe carbon that has to be measured is bound in solids of multiple chemical compounds. In a first step the carbon has to be converted to a uniform substance (carbon dioxide, C02). This is done in a high temperature furnace at 1350 °C and in the succeeding thermal-catalytic oxidation furnace at 800 °C. In a second step the processed samples are loaded manually or automatically by a sampler into the furnaces sample pick-up. The sample is carried automatically through a carrier gas transfer canal into the furnace. By permanent supply of samples a continous combustion with better analysing results is guaranteed. In a third step the used samples are ejected automatically. By carrier gas the carbon dioxid is carried into the QTOC 202 and is cleared, cooled and analysed there. The carrier gas supply and the control of the furnace for solids – LABOF – is managed by the QTOC 202. Options:
